AWS Sr. Cloud Infra Architect

Akkodis is seeking an AWS Sr. Cloud Infra Architect for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX. This role leads to the design of scalable, secure AWS cloud infrastructure aligned with enterprise architecture standards . Rate Range: $60/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. AWS Sr. Cloud Infra Architect job responsibilities include: Design and architect secure, scalable AWS infrastructure aligned with cloudnative patterns and the AWS WellArchitected Framework. Lead IaC automation using Terraform/OpenTofu and CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins) for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle orchestration. Perform capacity planning, monitoring, upgrades, and performance optimization across stateful and stateless application workloads. Define and enforce security and compliance controls for AWS environments, including governance, standards, and best practices. Develop technology roadmaps and drive continuous improvement through standardized processes, methodologies, and tooling adoption. Collaborate with architecture and delivery teams to assess feasibility, scope solutions, and ensure endtoend integration across Plan, Build, Deploy, and Operate phases. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field. 10+ years overall, including 5+ years of handson AWS infrastructure architecture and cloudnative solution design. Proven expertise in designing and provisioning AWS infrastructure using Terraform/OpenTofu, with strong knowledge of cloudnative patterns and the AWS WellArchitected Framework. Strong understanding of AWS security, compliance, and full infrastructure lifecycle management, including capacity planning, monitoring, automation, and CI/CD integrations.
