Posting Details Position Information Job Title Maintenance Mechanic II Position Summary Under general supervision, the Maintenance Technician II is responsible for minor fabrication of water supply and drain pipe repair, installation of electrical controls, rerouting of electrical wiring, testing and diagnostics of circuitry components and the replacement of electrical equipment. Perform simple carpentry construction, including layout and design. Capable of lock, key, door and window repair. Performs preventative maintenance on HVAC units, automobile, and landscape equipment as assigned to him according to the prescribed standard of quality and identified procedures. Is subject to being recalled to campus for "after hours" work during the work week and weekend. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Various plumbing duties including welding, soldering, cutting, threading and gluing 2. Replacement of lights, fixtures, switches, receptacles, fuses, contactors, ballasts, starters, motors, pumps 3. Preforms preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, and diagnostics of performance 4. Work with hand tools, power tools, torches, and electrical testing equipment 5. Performs preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment. 6. Completes work orders, equipment logs and other documentation 7. Other duties as assigned Education, Certifications and/or Licenses Must have a valid Texas Drivers license. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
