Aerospace Quality Inspector - CMM 2nd Shift | 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM Pay: Up to $32/hr (based on experience) Our customer, an FAA-regulated aerospace repair and manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to support overhaul and repair inspection of turbine engine components. This role focuses heavily on bench inspection, teardown evaluation, and CMM usage to determine repair requirements on worn or defective aerospace parts. This is not fabrication inspection - the role centers on repair and overhaul of customer-owned aerospace components. Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspection of incoming aerospace parts to determine repair needs Conduct teardown inspections to identify damage and required corrective work Inspect parts throughout each stage of repair (welding, coating, outside processing, etc.) Perform final inspection to ensure compliance with engine manuals, repair procedures, and customer requirements Review travelers and documentation for proper sign-offs, stamps, and traceability Use CMM equipment to measure components and verify tolerances Assemble and verify required gaging for production Collaborate with engineering to determine repair feasibility and scope Perform extensive bench inspection using standard inspection tools Qualifications (Must Have) Minimum 2 years aerospace inspection experienceStrong blueprint reading skills Experience with bench inspection of aerospace componentsHands-on CMM experience (able to load/run programs and operate the machine)Experience inspecting engine components from major aerospace OEMs (ex: Pratt & Whitney, GE, Rolls-Royce, Learjet or similar) Preferred Experience in overhaul and repair environmentsFamiliarity with FAA repair station documentation and procedures Strong understanding of engine manuals and teardown processes Ability to determine damage and inspection requirements independently Work Environment FAA-regulated aerospace repair environment Heavy documentation and traceability requirements High volume of bench inspection and measurement work
