Job Details Position Type: Travel Nursing, On-Site Healthcare Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long Term Care (LTC), Long Term Acute Care Location: Janesville, WI 53548 - Janesville healthcare, Wisconsin nursing jobs Start Date: January 15, 2026 End Date: April 16, 2026 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Day Shift with 24/7 Accountability Shift Duration: 12 Hour Days Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020 - $2130 Job Requirements / Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required upon hire Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin 2-4 years of supervisory or management experience in long term care, skilled nursing (SNF), or demonstrated leadership in an LTC facility Current CPR certification required within 90 days of hire Working knowledge of reimbursement systems and State/Federal Long Term Care regulations, including CMS, Medicare/Medicaid Familiarity with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, QAPI, and quality improvement processes Strong leadership, communication, and staff development skills specific to nursing management and clinical supervision Key Responsibilities - Nursing Leadership & DON Duties Provide nursing leadership and oversight as Director of Nursing and RN Unit Supervisor for skilled nursing and long-term care services Coordinate and facilitate nursing care activities to enhance continuity of care and resident outcomes Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to meet Federal, State, and facility regulatory requirements Ensure staff competency through continuing education, training programs, and performance evaluation Lead hiring, onboarding, scheduling, assignment, delegation, and evaluation of nursing staff Serve as a patient and family advocate and a resource for interdisciplinary teams, promoting resident-centered care Collect, evaluate, and report monthly quality data (falls, skin integrity, psychotropic medication monitoring, chart compliance) and drive quality improvement initiatives Maintain departmental objectives, standards of nursing practice, and up-to-date policy/procedure manuals Plan, coordinate, and implement new nursing care techniques, restorative care programs, and best practices in long-term care nursing Oversee assessment, care planning, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation in case management and care coordination Organize and lead interdisciplinary care teams to ensure comprehensive resident care and compliance with regulatory standards Promote and enforce proper infection prevention & control practices in accordance with facility, State, and CDC guidelines Contribute to budget planning, monitor departmental expenses, and support financial stewardship of nursing services Ready to make a measurable difference in long-term care nursing leadership?
