Job Description: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)Location: Mars, PA and Zelienople, PA Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Reports To: Nurse Supervisor / Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team in Mars, PA. The CNA will provide essential care and support to patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting. Turn, reposition, and transfer patients between beds and wheelchairs. Monitor and report changes in patient health status to the nursing staff. Take and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate. Medical Support: Assist in the collection of specimens for medical testing. Ensure patient rooms are clean, organized, and comfortable. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients. Follow care plans and provide personalized care tailored to individual patient needs. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Participate in continuing education and training programs as required. Assist with emergency response procedures as needed. Qualifications: Education and Certification: High school diploma or GED. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program. Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Pennsylvania. Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate and patient-focused attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients as necessary. Stamina to stand and walk for extended periods. Manual dexterity for handling medical equipment.
