American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position at a children's hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience and an OH or Compact RN license in hand. Job Details • Weekend-only schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00-19:30), • Position is based in a pediatric cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) within a children's hospital setting, • Patient population includes pediatric cardiac cases such as congenital heart disease/repair, post-cardiac surgery, and post-cardiac catheterization, • Required skills include hemodynamic monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, continuous sedation, and pediatric dosage calculations, • Respiratory skills required include ventilator management, care of ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, ABG interpretation, and ETT/NT suctioning, • Vascular access skills required include central line and PICC line care, arterial line management, and IV therapy, • Floating is required to other units including NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and med-surg as needed, • 13-week contract, Job Requirements • Active OH or Compact RN license currently in hand, • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required, • Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience in a pediatric hospital setting - this is a hard stop requirement, • Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility (local candidates are not eligible), • Two supervisory references required (at least one must hold a supervisor or manager title); charge nurse references do not qualify, • Must not have worked permanently for this facility within the past 2 years, • Preferred skills include ECMO, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD) management, CRRT, central line blood draws, and congenital heart disease/repair experience, Additional Information • First-time travelers are welcome to apply, • Floating to various units is a significant expectation at this facility; travelers must be fully prepared to accept appropriate assignments across departments, • Attendance and punctuality are taken very seriously at this facility,
