This role is fully onsite and not eligible for remote work.Position SummaryThe CNC Machinist II supports precision machining operations in a high-performance manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for setting up and operating advanced CNC equipment, performing inspections, maintaining equipment, and supporting documentation of machining processes. The ideal candidate brings strong technical ability, attention to detail, and experience working in regulated or high-precision environments.Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Setup & OperationSet up and operate multi-axis milling machines, dual spindle lathes, mill/turn machines, Wire EDM, tool pre-setters, and band sawsPerform complex setups and troubleshoot machining processesInterpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure dimensional accuracyInspection & QualityConduct pre-, in-, and post-process inspectionsUse 3D scanners, micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision toolsEnsure compliance with ITAR, ISO, ANSI, and other applicable standardsCAD/CAM & Process SupportSupport CNC operations using Autodesk Fusion 360 and Siemens NXAssist with documentation of technical procedures and machining processesCollaborate with operations leadership and technical staff on continuous improvement effortsEquipment MaintenancePerform preventative maintenance including coolant maintenance and basic machine calibrationMonitor equipment performance and maintain a clean, safe work environmentInventory & CollaborationTrack CNC lab inventory including raw materials, cutting tools, and shop suppliesWork with internal teams and external partners to complete projects on timePerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsRequiredAssociate degree in Precision Machining Technology or equivalent hands-on experience3-5 years of experience setting up complex CNC operationsStrong knowledge of precision machining principlesExperience with multi-axis machining, mill/turn equipment, and dual spindle lathesProficiency with Microsoft OfficeStrong written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and organizational skillsPreferredExperience in an ITAR-regulated environmentCAD/CAM programming experienceCompensation & BenefitsCompensation is based on experience.
