Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: independently performing a variety of administrative activities in support of the Richmond and Henrico District Director and District Management Team. Work regularly requires discretion, interpretation of policies, procedures or processes and frequent interaction with officials. May provide guidance to other staff as an information resource. Conducts research or assembles information and develops summaries in support of another administrative, technical or professional staff member. May type, file, schedule appointments, make reservations, sort mail and perform reception duties. Minimum Qualifications 1. Knowledge and experience with administrative practices and procedures and providing administrative support in a professional setting. 2. Knowledge and experience with records maintenance. 3. Experience with Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel and Access. 4. Experience in transcribing information, preparing documentation, communications, and reports. 5. Experience with maintaining professionalism and confidentiality under all circumstances. 6. Excellent organization skills, written and verbal communication skills. Additional Considerations 1. Knowledge of patient confidentiality (HIPAA) in a professional setting. 2. Advanced professional administration training and practical experience as an Administrative Assistant. 3. Knowledge of public health programs and policies.
