Job Summary The Java Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing large-scale, highly available distributed systems. The role requires strong hands-on experience in Java and Python development, production support, Linux systems, and database technologies. The engineer will troubleshoot issues across application, infrastructure, and integration layers while contributing to DevOps practices, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Support and maintain large-scale, distributed systems ensuring high availability and reliability. Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution. Develop and maintain application components using Java and Python. Work extensively with Linux operating systems and system fundamentals. Support database operations including SQL/PL-SQL development and performance troubleshooting on Oracle databases. Work with cloud infrastructure platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP. Apply strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems. Contribute to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and testing methodologies. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure operational excellence. Required Qualifications Hands-on experience in software development for distributed, highly available systems. Strong expertise in Java and Python. Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems. Experience in production support environments. Proficiency in Oracle database management, SQL, and PL/SQL. In-depth understanding of cloud infrastructure (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals. Experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and test methodologies. Primary skills: Java, Python, Linux, Oracle, DevOps CI/CD. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in enterprise-scale environments. Exposure to containerization or orchestration tools (if applicable).
