Prepare solid models and geometry for toolpath generation, plan machining strategy, sequencing, and process flow. Generate and issue complete program packages, including tool lists, setup sheets, and inspection/measuring tool requirements. Convert and adapt CNC programs for alternate machining centers as required. Process and implement program revisions and engineering change requests; maintain accurate documentation control. Verification & Validation Verify toolpaths with the use of Vericut simulation software to ensure collision avoidance and process integrity. Perform tape-proving and on-machine validation of CNC programs. Review and archive returned program packages in accordance with document control procedures. Manufacturing Support & Continuous Improvement Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues related to CNC programming, tooling, fixturing, and machining methods. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on process improvements, fixture design, and method optimization. Identify tooling requirements, support initial procurement, and test new tooling solutions. Troubleshoot machining processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput. Participate in Lean, 6S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned in support of production and operational objectives. Our ideal candidate: Post-secondary technical diploma, certificate or degree. Minimum 2 years' experience as a CNC programmer using multi axis applications or minimum 5 years' experience operating CNC machines, preferably in the aerospace industry. Proficiency in CATIA V5, Vericut, and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Microsoft Project preferred. Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, multi-axis machining, and aerospace manufacturing processes. Working knowledge of AS9100 quality standards and configuration/document control requirements. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and documentation discipline. Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational abilities. Ability to quickly adapt to new equipment, processes, and production requirements. Preferred Shop floor machining experience in a precision aerospace manufacturing environment.
