25-26 SES - Elementary School Counselor

Position Open Until FilledGeneral Description - Assists students to adjust successfully to the elementary school environment; helps parents to join effectively with the school personnel toward the student's successful participation in the school; and supports the staff and administration in promoting a positive school climate. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure in School Counseling Successful teaching and/or counseling experience with at least 3 years experience preferred Demonstrates the professional and personal characteristics for working effectively with students, parents, school personnel and community agencies This is a 10-month 200 day position. Salary credit will be given for previous teaching or counseling experience in a public or accredited private school. 224-25 Starting Salary: $50,500 (Bachelor's Level) 2025-2026 Salary: TBD See THIS LINK for current salary scales.
