Must Have • Five years of progressive HR experience with a concentration on employee relations, talent acquisition, talent management, training and development, and compensation management preferably in the healthcare industry. • Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment law, CMS, OSHA, and the Joint Commission regulatory compliance. • BA/BS degree required. • Supervisory experience overseeing various HR support roles preferred. • Previous experience overseeing the employee relations of a large number of employees in a multi-site setting is highly desirable. Job Description: • As the Director of Human Resources at the Hospital, you will be a strategic partner to the Facility CEO and other leadership team members. • You will be responsible for defining, developing, and implementing human resources initiatives. • This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including employee relations, talent acquisition and assessment, compensation management, performance management, training and leadership development, policy and procedures, and managing a team of HR professionals. • You will report to the Facility CEO, while receiving formal direction from the Life point Division Regional Director for Human Resources. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, monitor, review, coordinate, and facilitate training programs in alignment with hospital and organizational strategies. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying informed about existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary actions. • Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. • Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with allocated funding. • Coordinate and direct internal/external audits. • Foster an environment that encourages professional growth among HR staff. • Lead HR staff members, defining expectations, providing training, and managing performance. • Work in conjunction with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to align HR strategy and vision. • Develop and implement effective recruitment, retention, and succession planning programs. • Serve as a liaison with the hospital leadership team, communicating and leading HR strategic initiatives, analysis, and recommendations. • Ensure consistent administration and application of HR policies, ensuring compliance with regulations. • Provide advice and counsel to facility management regarding progressive discipline, attend disciplinary meetings, and facilitate terminations to promote a positive employee/employer relationship. • Oversee the development and maintenance of competitive compensation programs. • Ensure HR compliance and readiness for Joint Commission, state/local surveys, SOX audits, and other audits. • Establish effective communication channels for educating and informing employees on various topics, with a focus on employee engagement. • Provide primary oversight and leadership for various HR-related programs/initiatives, including Workers Compensation, performance management, HR data integrity, leave of absence, and payroll activities in coordination with vendors.
