Maintenance Technician III

Description Showplace Cabinetry is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician III to support advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of manufacturing equipment and automated systems. This position represents increased technical responsibility and involvement in complex production systems-all within a four-day, 10-hour work week. Position Summary The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and optimizing complex manufacturing equipment and automated systems. This role supports advanced diagnostics, system improvements, and specialized knowledge of critical production equipment. Primary Responsibilities Diagnose and repair advanced mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on automated and standalone equipment Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment and components Collaborate with Engineering and Production to implement upgrades and improvements to process equipment Support new equipment installations, including functionality checks, calibration, and preventive maintenance setup Develop and refine preventive and predictive maintenance procedures Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records and documentation Mentor and train lower-level technicians in advances troubleshooting and maintenance practices. Perform complex fabrication and assembly work, including welding, milling, and work involving control systems Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 5+ years of progressive industrial maintenance experience, including exposure to controls and/or automation Associate degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related technical field preferred Advanced knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic/hydraulic systems; intermediate electrical knowledge Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root-cause analysis Ability to read and interpret schematics High level of attention to detail and technical accuracy Strong steel fabrication skills Work Schedule - A Key Benefit Four 10-hour shifts (Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday) Three-day weekends every week Occasional additional hours only as business needs require Why Showplace Showplace Cabinetry is an employee-owned cabinetry manufacturer with facilities in Harrisburg and Beresford, South Dakota.
