Job Title Civil Project Engineer Education Bachelor's Degree Location Boulder - Boulder, CO 80302 US Denver - Denver, CO 80202 US Fort Collins - Fort Collins, CO 80524 US Glenwood Springs - Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 US (Primary) Winter Park - Winter Park, CO 80482 US Category Civil Engineering Job Type Full-time Job Description The Civil Project Engineer independently performs project assignments with instructions from the Project Manager on a wide range of site development and infrastructure projects across Colorado including rural towns, cities, and mountain projects. Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects. Responsible for applying intensive and diversified knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices during planning, design, and construction of civil projects. EXAMPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES Design civil site and infrastructure projects to solve complex problems Prepare written technical reports and project specifications to communicate the design details to the project owner and contractor Participate in municipal agency review meetings for project permitting to support approval of site development projects Collaborate during client review meetings during each phase of design to communicate and problem solve updated design details Support the other project team members including Principal, Project Manager, Design Engineer, and others to achieve deliverable goals and meet the project deadlines Provides on-site and in-office duties during the construction administration phase by providing construction observation reports, process change orders, and maintain shop drawing and RFI logs Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000Closing Date: Open until filled Job Requirements REQUIRED Qualifications Degree and Credential Requirements: NONE! Knowledge of Engineering Principles: Familiarity with complex engineering elements including site design, grading and drainage, utility design, report preparation, constructability reviews, and engineering estimates using creative problem solving for completion of engineering projects. Prioritize and Pivot Effectively: Produce high quality results while balancing work on a variety of projects and priorities in order to support multiple project teams and deadlines. Communication: Remains open and willing to receive and apply feedback to continually improve. Delegation: Assign and train Design Engineers to produce high quality deliverables and enhance professional development. PREFERRED Qualifications Ability to obtain P.E. License within one year of hire: Have the required combination years of education and engineering experience to be able to obtain a P.E. License in the state of Colorado within one year of hire. Software Utilization: Demonstrated expertise with preparing construction drawings, calculations, and reports with AutoCAD Civil3D and applicable civil engineering software packages. Technical Reading and Writing: Research, comprehend, and communicate technical design criteria and details to project teams and clients.
