Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Job Description:A sign-on bonus is also available effective upon hire or conversion with the signing of a promissory note for 1 year.Job Description: Perform a wide variety of mechanical and electrical maintenance work of a skilled and complex nature. Installs, repairs, and maintains manufacturing equipment and plant facilities necessary for satisfactory operation of equipment and processes. This position is moderately physical. Diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and combustion malfunctions and operating difficulties. Determines repair procedures and implements those repairs that will be effective in preventing reoccurrence. Can navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software for the purpose of troubleshooting equipment faults. Can modify positions and diagnose problems on ABB robots. Models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700. Installs moves, and aligns new and existing equipment. Sets up and operates various types of machine shop equipment with a moderate degree of accuracy and efficiency. Performs both gas and electric welding operations. Completes related machine repair records, performs associated handling duties, and maintains the work area in a neat and orderly condition. Performs all necessary preventive and proactive tasks on plant equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervision and/or designated team leader. Maintenance Technician A level must be proficient at troubleshooting die-casting machine cells through the use of PLCs and electrical and hydraulic schematics. Education Required: Must be able to apply principles acquired through technical or vocational subjects (certificates or some college courses) MUST HAVE Must be able to apply principles acquired through technical or vocational subjects (certificates or some college courses). 4 years of experience in Allen Bradley, Hydraulics, Robotics, and Welding. Experience in troubleshooting die-casting machine cells through the use of PLCs and electrical and hydraulic schematics.
