Pharmacist/RN/Medication Pick Up

The volunteer coordinates medication pickup for the patients. The volunteer is responsible for dispensing medication to patients, counseling patients regarding their medications, and reviewing the patients medication list to check for contraindications, allergies, etc. They collect donations, log medication pickup and donations and make appropriate documentation in the chart. They are responsible for notifying TPC and RxP of any requests for refills or problems/concerns with the medications. If there is time available, the volunteer checks in samples and checks expiration dates for samples stored in the sample cabinet. Must be a licensed pharmacist or registered nurse. Must have familiarity with medications, contraindications, medication allergies, etc. They should be comfortable counseling the patient and dispensing the medication. The volunteer should be detail oriented to complete the signature sheets, logs and charts. 1 shift available Monday through Thursday: 2:00pm to 4:00pm EST
