We are a collaborative, rewarding and lively practice with 2 locations in Williamsburg and Hampton. The Candidate must have strong clinical skills, comfortable with high volume, and providing call to the local hospital. In addition, be interested in making a difference and impacting the community with their surgical, wound care, and interpersonal skills. Our practice focuses on autotomy; you will not be micro-managed; therefore, you must be ethical, diligent and efficient.The company will pay for medical malpractice and up to a certain amount for CMEs. Your schedule will be filled for you. Your success will depend entirely on your own self-motivation.Our team is excited to have you join us!ResponsibilitiesExamine patient’s legs and feet to diagnose diseasesTreat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and anklesPerform wound careDiagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test resultsPrescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgeryAdvise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problemsProvide education/consultation to patientsMaintain appropriate medical records on assigned patientsBasic Requirements:Virginia State License/DEA #ABPS BC/BEstrong work ethic and self-motivatingDPM with 3 year surgical residency training; wound care interest a plusinpatient and outpatient workhigh earning potentialexcellent communication skills: reading, writing, speaking, listeningclean background check
