Job Full Description Senior Diesel TechnicianLocation: Newton, Kansas Are you an experienced vehicle mechanic with a passion for diesel engines and heavy equipment? We are currently seeking a Senior Diesel Technician to join a team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in vehicle mechanical repair, including trucks, heavy equipment, trailers, cars, vans, and more. If you have a minimum of 5 years of experience in diesel engine repair or similar fields, we want to hear from you.Responsibilities: Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on medium to heavy trucks, heavy equipment, trailers, cars, and vans Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine issues efficiently and accurately Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and safety Repair and replace defective parts, components, or systems as needed Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on vehicles and in the shop environment Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines Provide guidance and support to junior technicians as needed Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in diesel engine repair or related fields Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems, including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems Experience with trucks, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, and other vehicles Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Benefits: Competitive wage based on experience Opportunity for career advancement to lead or shop foreman positions Full-time employment with first shift hours (Monday to Friday) Veteran-friendly workplace Health and retirement benefits Want to Learn More?
