Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob DescriptionThe position will oversee and assure the Consumer Home Equity Lines of Credit and Residential Mortgage executed loan documents are reviewed, in detail, for accuracy, completeness and compliance. This position will work with various departments inside and outside the credit union, including Title Company, Compliance and County Recorder offices. To accomplish this, the Post-Loan Closing Specialist must comprehend & analyze loan documents, title policies and legal documents.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be familiar with Mortgage loan documents such as the Deed of Trust, Loan Note and Title policiesReview commercial, consumer and Real Estate loan packages presented for booking and confirm all required loan documents, memos, waivers and good funds have been provided and are acceptable and compliant while completing the review checklist and addressing all issues in order for loan to be boarded to the Fiserve subservicing systemUpdate Document Status Reports indicating if the loan was booked or if errors need to be addressed. If the loan package is incomplete or incorrect, inform the loan closers and loan processors what’s needed so the loan can be booked and archived.Follow up on missing documents with county recorders and title companiesAbility to recognize errors and request corrections with Real Estate LendingRequest missing loan endorsements from title company on Final Title policiesPrepare the file for scanning and final set-up and archiving of the collateral file.Excellent organizational skills and time management is a mustFile preparation for loan sales and assist loan delivery department with shipment of loan filesContinually work to update loan exceptions and forward exceptions as neededWill assist in the creation, monitoring and distribution of the loan exception reports to the loan closing department staff and upper managementWill assist in the review of perfected collateral and review final title policy for all requirements based on the loan and collateral typeParticipate in scheduled or unscheduled audits or projects specific to the loan closing process or departmentUsually works with minimum supervision.Other duties as assigned EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Mortgage loan document knowledge a must. Minimum 1-3 years’ experience. Working knowledge of Word and Excel. Must be able to input, extract, and read data. Must be able to read and write English. Broad knowledge of real estate and/or mortgage loan servicing experience.
