Lead Buyer

Role is On Site or Hybrid - Cannot be performed 100% remote Duties Lead a team of buyer(s) Manage the identification, assessment, and mitigation of commercial risks within the supply chain Develop, deploy, and maintain integrated commodity/category supplier strategies Lead complex negotiations through planning, performing cost analysis, drafting of contracts Manage supplier relationships including issue escalation, conflict resolution Provide strategic direction to suppliers, including supplier performance improvement, KPI reporting Required BS Degree in relevant field with 7 years experience in Procurement May consider senior non degreed candidates with 10-15+ yrs in purchasing that have led or managed procurement teams Nice to have Automotive industry experience (Will accept Aerospace) Experience as a Procurement Manager or Category Manager Note: The "management" is providing strategic direction and leadership. Most buyers are senior and need not be managed operationally.
