In-Center Hemodialysis Nurse

Qualifications: RN Dialysis experience is required.Minimum of 12 months of experience as a Nurse including at least 6 months experience in acute or chronic hemodialysis obtained within the past 24 months.Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Current license as a Registered Nurse who holds a current certification from a nationally recognized board in nephrology nursing may substitute the certification for the six months experience obtained within the past 24 months.Current CPR Certification.Read, speak, write, and understand English.Advance nephrology nursing certification (CDN, CNN, and CHN) preferred, but not required.Normal color perception.Job Summary:Under the direction of the attending Nephrologists coordinates, implements and documents patient care based on through systematic pre, intra and post dialysis assessment by performing the following duties: The Dialysis Nurse will provide patient care while working collaboratively and communicating with members of the interdisciplinary team. Coordinates and delivers care through the nursing process to adult hemodialysis patients utilizing standards of care set by the American Nephrology Nurses Association. Works to ensure the attainment of patient outcomes that meet KDOQI goals while following regulatory requirements of the Texas Department of State Health Services and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
