You are subscribed to receive alerts for jobs similar to this one.Job Title: EstimatorLocation: Greenville, SCStatus of Hire: Full-time, direct hireSummaryTRS Staffing is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Estimator to support commercial and industrial painting, coating, and maintenance projects across the Southeast for a client in Greenville, SC. This role is responsible for producing accurate takeoffs, estimates, and proposals while working closely with operations, project management, and sales teams. The ideal candidate has strong technical estimating skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to support projects from initial bid through field execution, contributing to large-scale construction initiatives for a company known for quality, professionalism, and long-term client relationships.Key Responsibilities Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope, risks, and exclusions Upload, track, and manage Invitations to Bid within the company's bid platform Perform detailed takeoffs using plans, specifications, RFIs, and other construction documents Identify design conflicts or documentation gaps and communicate potential risks to senior leadership Prepare accurate estimates and proposals using company templates Coordinate required submittals, drawdowns, and project documentation to ensure compliance Manage timely transfer and organization of project files within the job management system Maintain awareness of active project schedules, progress, and estimating workloads Collaboration & Project Support Partner with clients, vendors, and internal teams to gather pricing information and support competitive bids Collaborate with operations, project managers, and field leadership to validate labor production rates and assumptions Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and project evaluations as needed Support the transition of awarded projects to operations and project management teams Assist with change order pricing and scope revisions as project conditions evolve Qualifications & Experience 4+ years of estimating experience, preferably within commercial or industrial painting, coatings, or specialty contracting Strong ability to interpret and analyze construction drawings and specifications Experience in civil construction, environmental services, utilities, or infrastructure is preferred Proficiency with estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or comparable tools Experience working with general contractors, property managers, or institutional clients Excellent organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously TRS Staffing Solutions are an equal opportunities employer, and we welcome you to provide OFCCP data voluntarily here (We are an equal opportunity employer.
