Position Type: Extended School Year - Certified/Speech and Language Pathologist Date Posted: 2/2/2026 Location: All locations Date Available: 07/02/2026 Closing Date: 05/15/2026 Orleans/Niagara BOCES Speech-Language Pathologist-ESYJob Description: (Full-time/Part-time - Itinerant employee needed - FTE depending on student needs) Candidate to deliver hearing and speech services required by students' Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and/or Section 504 Plans during our Extended School Year (ESY) program. The individual shall provide services to students in a special education classroom setting for our Extended School Year Program. The individual must have knowledge regarding or experience with students with significant emotional and behavioral disabilities, including cognitive delays. Strong behavior management and leadership skills to meet students' needs, are required. The individual must be a team player and work collaboratively with support staff. The candidate should have experience with behavioral management strategies and the ability to supervise support staff. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) training is preferred. The individual must have or be eligible for appropriate teaching certification upon hire. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining attendance log and completion of program summary for each student on caseload. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Assignment is subject to change. Requirements: NYS Certification-Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities; NYS License as Speech Language Pathologist. Program Dates: July 2, 2026- Orientation, July 6, 2026 through August 14, 2026 Salary: Orleans/Niagara BOCES Teachers - 1/200th of 202 salary provided that the teacher's regular (ten-month) annual salary does not exceed that provided for at Step 16 of the teacher PC Schedule. If a teacher's salary is in excess of Step 16, then the teacher will receive 1/200th of Step 16. Teachers beyond Step 16 effective summer 2010 will receive at least the same salary, unless or until the Step 16 cap exceeds that salary. (This does not include long-term substitutes and/or temporary appointments that automatically terminate June 30th - such individuals will be considered non-BOCES employees) Non-BOCES Teachers: 1st Year = $5,250.00 2nd Year = $5,500.00 3rd Year = $5,750.00 4th Year = $6,000.00 5th Year & Higher = $6,250.00
