Pharmacist - PRN

PRN Pharmacist Location: Portage, IN Schedule: PRN Duration: 8-12 weeks Start: As soon as possible Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking a PRN Pharmacist for a short-term assignment in the Portage, Indiana area. This role supports an inpatient care environment within a safety-focused organization that values teamwork, accountability, and high-quality patient care. The assignment is ideal for a pharmacist who can step into a PRN setting and contribute immediately to daily pharmacy operations. Requirements Active Indiana Pharmacist license in good standing Prior inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience preferred EPIC experience required Experience with medication reconciliation and discharge counseling Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail Responsibilities Verify, prepare, and dispense medications in accordance with state and federal regulations Support medication reconciliation and discharge medication counseling Monitor drug therapy for dosing accuracy, interactions, and contraindications Participate in antimicrobial stewardship and pharmacokinetic dosing support Maintain accurate documentation and controlled substance accountability Support pharmacy safety, quality, and regulatory compliance efforts Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards This assignment supports an organization that prioritizes patient and employee safety, teamwork, and continuous quality improvement.
