American Red Cross - Transportation Specialist - ...

This position supports the Regional Biomedical Services department. This opportunity requires participation in in-person activities and/or performing work in a Red Cross facility. To accompany and provide support to Transportation Specialists, who are picking up and/or delivering blood products. Qualifications: Willingness to support Red Cross mission Familiarity with geographic area and driving routes Comfortable with the use of cell phones Experience to demonstrate reliability Ability to adhere to a schedule Comfortable sitting for long periods of time in a vehicle and being in a hospital/laboratory environment Have personal relationship with Transportation Specialist (Transportation Specialist must agree to the accompaniment of a Navigator.) Ability to lift a maximum of 45 lbs., if Navigator plans to help Transportation Specialist-Hospital Delivery with the lifting of boxes.(Not required) Development opportunities: Gain valuable training/experience while providing an invaluable service to the community Meet new people Develop customer service skills that last a lifetime Training: Orientation to the American Red Cross Transportation Specialist Training On-the-Job Training
