Build the Networks of the Future.PDS Tech Commercial is supporting a major real estate and network relocation initiative for a leading telecommunications innovator-and we're hiring Junior Field Technicians who are eager to learn, grow, and make an impact.If you're enthusiastic, hands-on, and motivated to build a long-term career in telecom and network infrastructure, this is an outstanding opportunity to gain real industry experience alongside seasoned Senior Field Technicians.What You'll DoAs a Junior Field Technician, you'll play a critical supporting role in the design, planning, integration, migration, and decommissioning of key technology layers, including: Outside Plant (OSP): Fiber installation and support Inside Plant (ISP): Rack installation, cabling, labeling, equipment support DWDM systems SDH transport IP and routing layers DCN (Data Communications Network) Critical Infrastructure: Space, power, and cooling You will also: Work closely with Senior Field Technicians on-site and in the field Support inventory management using specialized systems Analyze and manipulate data with detail and accuracy Assist with documentation and reporting Travel between project sites as required Contribute to migration, integration, and decommissioning activities This role is designed for individuals who are methodical, logical, and eager to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge telecom technologies.What We're Looking ForQualifications & Skills: Degree or MSc in an Engineering discipline Foundational knowledge of telecommunications concepts Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Advanced Excel or Access skills a strong advantage Understanding of IP networking principles (desirable) Experience with AC/DC power (desirable) Practical or lab experience with telecom equipment (routers, switches, etc.) Personal Qualities: Enthusiastic and proactive Motivated to learn and take on responsibility Detail-oriented and organized Able to work both independently and collaboratively Why This Role Is a Great OpportunityReal hands-on field experience with industry-leading technologies Mentorship from Senior Field Technicians and engineering teams The chance to work on a high-impact, multi-layer network relocation project Exposure to OSP, ISP, DWDM, SDH, IP, and critical infrastructure disciplines Opportunity for long-term career growth within telecom engineering Competitive pay: $28-$38/hr A supportive environment that values curiosity, learning, and initiative Travel opportunities for project deployments This is more than an entry-level job-it's a launchpad into a long-term telecommunications career.Build Your Future in Telecommunications.
