Project/Launch Manager

Role Information - This position is 100% onsite in Gastonia, NC - This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the futureMain Tasks - Managing multiple, interrelated projects (including new launches, consolidation and outsourcing projects) - Organizing project teams and assigning individual responsibilities - Developing project schedules - Determining resource requirements - Monitoring and reporting on the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing - Ensuring adherence to internal and external quality standards - Identifying/resolving obstacles to completing project on time and to budget - Integrating vendor tasks into the project plan and tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables - Coordinating and steering launches of new production lines or SKUs within the manufacturing plant Educational Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or any related field and 1 year of relevant experience in manufacturing environment OR at least 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment without degree Experience Requirements - Managing projects within a manufacturing environment or industrial setting, coordinating launches for new production equipment Required Skills - Must be able to manage a project team in a fast paced and pressured environment - Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. - Strong Lean mindset - Up to 10% domestic travel. Preferred Skills - Automotive program launch experience - Expert knowledge of APQP and PPAP - Capability with standard engineering tools and processes such as Design Verification Process & Reporting (DVP&R), FMEA, and Statistics
