Data Engineer

Title: Data Engineer Location: Denver, CO The Customer Service Applications team within Business Technologies is looking for a Data Engineer to assist with completing work for our Operations department in Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and Power BI). Operations has goals to improve reporting on security wait times, parking lost & found, assets and maintenance schedules, and snow events. The expectations and deliverables would include: • Working with the BI team and customers to understand the requests and gather requirements • Create or update SSIS packages to extract data from various data sources and create/update tabular model using SSAS • Following BT processes and procedures, documentation requirements, and knowledge transfer of work completed • Create tabular models and Power BI dashboards to visualize the data for the customer as needed • We are also rolling out Microsoft Fabric using a medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold). This role could also work on adding or updating pipelines in Microsoft Fabric. Experience • 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence design and delivery. • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), Microsoft SQL Server Report Services (SSRS), and Microsoft Power BI • Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling. • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure integrations experience is a strong plus.
