Role: Principal Enterprise Architect Location: Dallas, TX Work Model: 5 days onsite Mandatory Relocation Assistance Available This role requires a candidate who can begin onsite within the next two months; readiness to start on Day 1 in person is mandatory. Overview We are partnered with a large, complex organization in the technology sector undergoing a multi-year digital, platform, and cloud transformation. This role sits within a digital platforms organization supporting customer-facing and internal systems at enterprise scale. The Principal Enterprise Architect will serve as a hands-on technical leader responsible for defining enterprise architecture strategy, setting standards, and delivering scalable, secure, and modular solutions that enable both operational and analytical use cases. This is a highly visible role partnering with engineering, platform, security, analytics, and business leaders to drive meaningful transformation. Responsibilities Define and evolve enterprise architecture strategy aligned with business goals and industry best practices Design modular, scalable, and secure architecture patterns across digital platforms Lead large-scale initiatives including cloud migration, IT modernization, and system/vendor integration Act as the technical authority across portfolios, ensuring consistency and architectural rigor Partner cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, security, and business stakeholders Guide and mentor architects while fostering strong collaboration and execution Ensure solutions meet security, performance, and compliance standards Proactively identify risks and solve complex technical challenges Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, platform engineering, or large-scale transformation Experience architecting solutions across CMS, analytics platforms, and identity/access management Strong background with modern web and backend technologies (e.g., microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, NoSQL) Hands-on experience with authentication and authorization frameworks Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences Preferred Qualifications Public cloud and/or architecture framework certifications (e.g., TOGAF) Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment strategies Exposure to observability, performance optimization, accessibility, and SEO at scale Experience integrating AI-driven or intelligent systems into enterprise platforms Proven ability to influence, gain consensus, and drive execution across teams Track record of leading and scaling high-performing technical teams Comfortable operating in fast-paced, complex, enterprise environments
