Critical Facilities Field Service Engineer

Snapshot / Role Overview We're seeking a Critical Facilities Field Service Engineer in Reno, NV to maintain and optimize building systems for data centers and mission-critical facilities. Impact - Maintain maximum uptime for critical infrastructure in one of the fastest-growing data center markets - Prevent costly outages through proactive system monitoring and maintenance - Support rapid expansion of critical facilities in Northern Nevada - Deliver expert technical service that builds long-term client partnerships Responsibilities - Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on building automation systems - Troubleshoot and repair BAS, electrical, and mechanical control systems - Monitor critical facility alarms and respond to system events within SLA requirements - Document service activities and maintain accurate equipment records - Coordinate maintenance activities with facility operations teams - Implement system updates and configuration changes per change management protocols - Conduct root cause analysis for system failures and recurring issues - Provide technical guidance to facility staff on system operations Requirements Must-Haves - 3+ years of experience in critical facility or data center service environments - Knowledge of building automation platforms (Niagara, Distech, Siemens, or similar) - Experience with critical power systems including UPS and generator controls - OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Nice-to-Haves - Niagara 4 certification or equivalent BAS credentials - CDCP or other data center certifications - Experience with electrical power monitoring systems Compensation & Logistics Competitive salary depending on experience; benefits include health insurance, 401K with company match, PTO, paid holidays, and professional development.
