Medical Technologist

Job Title: Medical Technologist Location: Palatka, FL Available Shifts: Days/6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Blood Bank/Generalist) Nights/3-12s/7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Job Summary and Qualifications: You Will: Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing, analyzing proficiency testing samples within set time frames Assume departmental responsibilities in the absence of the supervisor Complete all required documentation related to patient results Perform stat procedures within specified turnaround times Exercise judgment and independent thinking in result correlation and interpretation Review and resolve pending logs and result logs Perform quality control procedures and handle problem/critical specimens or results You Should Have: 2-Year/Associate Degree required 4-Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology preferred Less than 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist State of Florida Technologist License required or ability to obtain during interview process Technologist License in one or more clinical specialty areas (Generalist highly preferred): Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or equivalent Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in relevant field Pay Range: $27.09 - $34.67 per hour
