HVAC Maintenance Technician The Vista

Position Summary: Primary responsibilities, under the direction of the property manager for the assigned property(ies) are: HVAC repairs and replacements, the overall maintenance of the apartment community and all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance operations of the community. Essential Functions: Have a Certification in HVAC systems and able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors Drywall repair, including filling in small holes caused by nails and minor dings Make ready units for new move-ins Responsible for 24 hour emergency maintenance, when scheduled on call Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program on a regular basis Complete grounds work such as: grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping Pool maintenance experience required, if on premises Coordinate special projects as directed Qualifications: The HVAC Maintenance Technician must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors and fellow employees. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician must: have the necessary tools to effectively complete tasks outlined above, including HVAC Certification have the ability to follow oral and written instructions maintain effective and cooperative working relationships must be willing to travel to other property(ies) as required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED Required HVAC Certification Valid Drivers License Must be able to pass a criminal background, drug test Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
