Job title: Office Manager / Office Administrator Summary: We are a small but growing family business in Fresno, California. We partner with home builders to ensure timely bidding, ordering, and installation of window and glass products. We are looking for a full-time, flexible, can-do employee who has many skills - personnel and human resources, QuickBooks and accounting, computer, technology, and general business. Knowledge and experience in office procedures is preferred. This individual will be the buffer between office staff and the owners directly. You should be independent but able to provide guidance to those also working for the company. Occasional personal assistance with preparing company events, tasks in related businesses or other related office projects. We are a serious business and professionalism is of utmost importance - in both attire and personality. Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities Primarily, responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Review timecards, pay child support and manage Simple IRA deposits Keep abreast of California laws and requirements for employees Offer required training with the support of prepared materials Familiar with Workers Compensation, work with them to handle claims Pay invoices, balance checking accounts, install QuickBooks, transfer files to the bookkeeper Maintain management reports Producing reports, ordering product, pricing jobs, and other office responsibilities Technical expertise - computers, internet, apps to support business, website Qualifications and Experience Five years' experience working in an office with significant financial responsibility Knowledge of QuickBooks, accounts payable, invoicing, and checking accounts Experience handling employee records, basic payroll knowledge, workers comp and personnel issues Valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation Business, accounting, and/or construction-related education is preferred Experience working in an office setting Key Skills and Competencies Verbal communication skills Integrity, honesty and trustworthiness Problem-solving, willing to learn new skills Proficient in Word, Excel and QuickBooks Ability to work independently and occasionally as part of a team Organized, sense of urgency, sense of humor, self-reliant Flexible, helpful, positive attitude Work Environment: You will report to the owner who currently runs the office and get input from the hands-on owners Compensation Wage Hours of work 8:00 - 5:00 with a lunch break, Monday through Friday Occasional overtime may be required During busy periods or for specific projects, we may request that you work additional hours For employees of the Business Paid holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day Additional unpaid holidays are negotiable One-week paid vacation (equal to the hours you work in a week) after one year of employment Health insurance stipend and retirement plan after one year of employment Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $22.00 - $30.00
