We are in a unique and exciting season as a portable church meeting in a leased Sunday location while operating weekday offices out of a house-style office space. This role ensures that every environment we create reflects care, intentionality, and stewardship.The Facilities Manager provides hands-on leadership and oversight of:Sunday load-in / load-out operations at our worship locationUpkeep and management of our office house/space during the weekThis role ensures that our environments reflect excellence, safety, and readiness for ministry.Reports to: Director of Operations Hours: 20-25 hours/week (Sundays + flexible weekday hours)Core ResponsibilitiesSunday OperationsOversee all Sunday morning load-in and post-service load-outArrive early to unlock, assess, and prepare the facilityCoordinate and lead volunteers for setup and teardownEnsure staging, signage, kids areas, lobby, and worship spaces are fully preparedTroubleshoot facility issues in real timeMaintain storage systems and equipment organizationEnsure proper care of rented/shared spacesComplete post-service walkthrough and reset checklistOffice House Oversight (Weekday)Oversee cleanliness, order, and general upkeep of office spaceCoordinate repairs and maintenanceManage vendors (cleaning, lawn care, etc.)Monitor safety, security, and property needsMaintain maintenance supply inventory for office and Sunday environmentsIdentify proactive improvements to create warm, welcoming spacesWhat Success Looks LikeSundays feel smooth, organized, and distraction-freeVolunteers feel supported and confidentOur office house remains clean, safe, and well-maintainedEquipment and storage systems are orderly and efficientProblems are anticipated and solved before they escalateIdeal Candidate TraitsCalm under pressureDetail-orientedSolution-mindedTakes ownershipUnderstands that environment shapes experienceQualifications & RequirementsHighly reliable and punctualStrong organizational skillsComfortable leading volunteers with clarity and kindnessBasic knowledge of facilities maintenance and troubleshootingPhysically able to lift and move equipment (40–50 lbs)Self-starter who takes initiativeAlignment with the mission and values of Freedom HouseCultural Fit Freedom House values excellence, joy, collaboration, and clear communication.
