Clinical & Technical Competence Deliver timely and effective nursing interventions based on patient needs. Demonstrate strong clinical skills and technical proficiency in all aspects of patient care. Documentation & Communication Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and provider communications in real time. Perform ongoing review, initiation, and implementation of provider orders each shift. Patient Safety & Risk Assessment Identify patient safety risk factors, including fall risk, skin integrity concerns, and the need for restraints. Implement appropriate safety interventions promptly and consistently. Follow medication safety policies and complete all required Safety Tracking Tools. Delegation & Team Leadership Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise assigned staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Take responsibility for all care provided to assigned patients. Report performance concerns to maintain a safe, supportive, and effective care environment. Patient & Family Education Assess educational needs of patients and families, providing clear written and verbal instructions. Document all education delivered and evaluate understanding as appropriate. Prioritization & Critical Thinking Prioritize tasks efficiently based on urgency, patient acuity, and available resources.
