As a Field Service Engineer II you will be responible for maintaining production equipment in a highly precise manufacturing environment. This position entails accomplishing all preventative maintenance, unscheduled maintenance and installations on a variety of vacuum, temperature control and exhaust management systems. Maintaining and replacing equipment, tools, and supplies when used, providing written documentation of repairs, palletizing/depalletizing equipment and interfacing with the customer. Regular travel, generally by car, to different semiconductor fabs is a standard part of this field of service role. De-palletize and preflight vacuum pumps for use by the customer. Experience working on gas and chemical abatement equipmen including experience with scrubber and burn abatement. Proficient in working around gas and chemical byproducts, piping, blowers and fluid pumps. Perform vacuum pump preventative maintenance. To troubleshoot, diagnose, and remedy where possible field equipment faults and errors. Deinstall failed pumps and install rebuilt pumps. Prepare vacuum pumps for shipment. Work with customer personnel to troubleshoot vacuum issues with chambers, fore lines and vacuum pumps. Proficient in trouble shooting electronic components, sensors, switches, control read outs, and PLCs. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Gas Abatement Systems. Use proper PPE to work in the vicinity of hazardous materials.
