We're hiring experienced Quick Lube / Oil Technicians to join our growing team at Garber Chevrolet Highland.  Paid training with path to become a Journeyman Technician.  Flexible schedule!  Quick Lube / Oil Technician Benefits  Top pay for the Chicagoland areaMedical and Dental401K PlanPaid time off and vacationGrowth opportunitiesPaid TrainingEmployee vehicle purchase plansDiscounts on products and servicesFamily owned and operatedLong term job securityHealth and wellnessFlexible Work ScheduleSaturday Lunches Quick Lube / Oil Technician Responsibilities Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly.Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem.Drive the vehicle for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary.Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed.Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates.Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles.Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage.Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks. Quick Lube / Oil Technician Qualifications One year in a service department with professional experience with oil changes, replacing wiper blades/air filters, filling air in tires, other light maintenance servicesDeep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilitiesEffective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improveAbility to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specificationsAbility to operate electronic diagnostic equipmentHigh School Diploma or GED (required)Valid driver’s license and clean driving record About Us Our team enjoys cutting-edge training programs, a fantastic culture and opportunities for advancement, which are company-wide focuses to help you grow both personally and professionally.
