Position Overview Type of Position: Travel Description: Certified Nursing Assistant - Part TimePosition Details• Part Time Evenings (5x7.5s), every other weekend, holidays• 37.5 hours total• Must be able to begin orientation (full shift) on a Tuesday or ThursdayRequired Qualifications• High School Diploma or GED• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification Required• BLS (AHA or RQI) certification needed• Must be Licensed for 1 year• One (1) Year of previous LTC experienceJob FunctionsResident Care• Resident's ADL's needs are met as outlined in the plan of care and in accordance with policies and procedures within a safe and comfortable environment; including hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence/catheter care, elimination/toileting needs, turning/positioning, skin care, etc.• Documentation completed per protocolEnvironment and Safety• Resident's environment and safety to be maintained as outlined in the plan of care and in accordance with policies and procedures; including answering call lights and alarms promptly, provision of safety mats and low beds, restraint use under the direction of Nursing, maintaining cleanliness of unit, behavior and fall prevention, appropriate use of and monitoring for malfunctioning equipment, etc.• Documentation completed per protocolNutritional Support• Resident's nutritional needs will be met as outlined in the plan of care and in accordance with policies and procedures, including meal delivery, tray preparation, adaptive equipment, feeding, nourishments, etc.• Resident's preferences and choices shall be honored• Documentation completed per protocolRehabilitation Support• Resident's rehabilitative (restorative and maintenance) needs are met as outlined in plan of care and in accordance with policies and procedures, including range of motion, ambulation, transfers, proper body alignment and use of assistive devices• Documentation completed per protocolCommunication and Reporting• Resident's rights, refusals, and concerns are reported to Charge and/or Supervising Nurse in a timely fashion in accordance with policies and procedures• Changes in resident physical, emotional and psychosocial status are identified and reported to Charge Nurse promptlyImportant Notice• Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is reasonably anticipated• Required tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues Meet Your RecruiterApril LaTurno
