Job Description

The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products meet or exceed company quality standards as defined in documented policies and procedures. This role involves performing routine inspections, recording results, identifying product deficiencies, and collaborating with production and quality teams to maintain product integrity. Essential Functions: Perform routine inspections to ensure product integrity and compliance with quality standards. Accurately record all inspections and nonconformities on designated forms. Determine when products do not meet standards using reference tools and documented specifications; consult with the QA Manager or QA Lead for atypical issues and complete appropriate documentation. Communicate substandard product issues to the QA Manager, QA Lead, and production supervisors. Maintain accurate, legible records when documenting inspection results. Demonstrate fundamental knowledge of product specifications, manufacturing software, and general machine operation. Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with production teams to enhance product quality and efficiency. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications in quality assurance, manufacturing, or related fields are a plus. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects or deviations from standards. Ability to read, understand, and communicate simple instructions, correspondence, and memos effectively. Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various units. Physical ability to stand, walk, talk, hear, handle materials, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. Knowledge of product specifications, manufacturing processes, and quality documentation practices. Work Environment: Exposure to moving mechanical parts; noise level is usually moderate. Occasional warm conditions during summer months. Fast-paced production environment requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
