Automation TechnicianAbout the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and hands-on Automation Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will install, commission, and support automated machinery for a diverse range of customers. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, confident working with electrical systems, and comfortable troubleshooting equipment both in-house and onsite.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, technology, and working directly with customers.Key Responsibilities Install, commission, and start up automated systems at customer facilities Build, wire, assemble, and function-test machinery prior to shipment Diagnose and resolve issues including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and basic programming faults Perform system troubleshooting, adjustments, calibration, and repair both onsite and remotely Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation Use PLC and HMI software for system analysis and minor program adjustments Provide operator and maintenance training at customer facilities Offer remote support via phone, email, or online communication tools Document service activities, findings, recommendations, and parts used Qualifications Experience with automation, machinery, or industrial equipment (preferred) Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, pneumatics, and control systems Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-service skills Ability to travel for onsite installations and service Valid driver's license Preferred Skills Experience with machine building or electrical panel wiring Familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms Mechanical assembly or fabrication experience Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, WI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.08 - $48.08/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
