Job Summary We are looking for individuals to join our client's team as Electrophysiology Cardiovascular Technologist. You will assess hemodynamics/cardiac calculations operate equipment, document procedures, site management, patient/family education, patient preparation, sterile technique, processing and saving images, electrical mapping, responsibility for preparation of the access site, intraprocedural handling of instruments, maintenance of sterile field, evaluation of changing conditions during procedures. Responsible for maintaining basic knowledge of congenital, vascular, structural, cardiac, and electrophysiological procedures. Job Description Prepares case tables with necessary equipment, sterile supplies, instruments, labels, and medications/solutions for each procedure and performs surgical sponge, needle, and instruments counts. Creates and maintains a sterile and safe environment and provides sterile instruments and supplies to assist in procedures. Communicates and collaborates with patients and other members of the health care team to ensure continuity and coordination of services Monitor patients undergoing invasive and interventional procedures, capturing and recording hemodynamic/physiologic wave forms and performing calculations. Depending on specialty, must be able to utilize IVUS, FFR, OCT, ICE, Shockwave, IABP, Impella, Atherectomy (laser and rotational), 3D mapping and provide support for cardiac, ablation, peripheral, laser lead extractions, structural heart interventions, pediatric congenital interventions, and implantable device procedures, including pocket closures. Circulating procedures as second circulator, gathering equipment for the procedure, obtaining and resulting ACT and oximetry. Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis. Performs other duties as assigned. Skills Required 2 years of relevant experience - Clinical experience in electrophysiology or invasive cardiology procedures Device pocket closure. Responsible for taking call to cover urgent/emergency procedures. Participates in ongoing process improvement activities, department level education, and adheres to unit based standard work. Education/Training/Certifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent - Cardiovascular Technologist Program, Radiology Technologist Program or bachelor's in health science Licenses/Certifications: CRT - Radiographer (R), ARRT - 3 years' experience; required if hired after March 30, 2018, OR CRT - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), CCI - 3 years' experience; required if hired after March 30, 2018, OR CRT - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), CCI - 3 years' experience; required if hired after March 30, 2018 CRT - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA - must be completed within 180 days CRT - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), AHA - must be completed within 180 days if working with pediatric patients CRT - Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA - must be completed within 90 days, OR CRT - Basic Life Support (BLS), ARC - must be completed within 60 days Additional Requirements 1st shift hours - (8am - 6:30pm); 10 hours Scrub Color: Hospital Provided
