Job title : Buyer Client : Aerospace Manufacturing Industry Duration : 6 months (temp to hire) Location : Tampa, FL 33619 Shift : 1st shift (8 AM to 5 PM) Description: Responsibilities: • Work closely with operations to identify material and service requirements • Negotiate and manage purchase orders in line with site demand • Monitor supplier performance across OTD, Fill Rate, and Quality metrics • Ensure compliance with internal procurement performance standards • Identify and drive continuous improvement in purchasing processes • Support decision-making with data for make vs. buy analysis • Generate and implement cost-saving initiatives • Establish and negotiate supplier agreements • Assist Global Sourcing in executing strategic sourcing projects • Collaborate with Site Planning to maintain accurate RM inventory levers • Maintain supplier lead-time accuracy within demand systems • Align supplier payment terms with company policy • Stay updated on key supplier business and financial risks • Support cost management and strategic initiatives at the site level Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field • Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing and R&D setting • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Epicor preferred) • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to solve minor scope and complexity problems • Highly organized with the ability to manage high-volume transactions • Comfortable working in a large matrixed organization #ZR
