Engineering Revit Technician

JOB POSTING JOB TITLE: Engineering Revit Tech DEPARTMENT: Engineering REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager PURPOSE OF POSITION: To support Knight's Armament Company by contributing to the design and documentation of firearms manufacturing facilities by creating models and creating drawings of the facilities and its infrastructure. SPECIAL TRAINING NEEDED: Certificate of completion with demonstrated Autodesk Revit /CAD capability. Familiarity with Building Information modeling (BIM) techniques. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Experience with Revit software, BIM and design, as well as Solid Works, and other engineering analysis software. ANSI-Y-14.5 drawing terms and tolerances. Knowledge of drawing and plan production. Model management. Working knowledge of building modeling and detailing. Experience in developing and maintaining a record-keeping system; proof-reading record to verify accuracy. DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES: Produce and update detailed drawings and 3D models using Revit Architecture software of buildings, structures and associated mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Develop and update detailed machine / office layout to optimize available space, while streamlining production flow.• Manage the BIM models, ensuring they are up-to-date, accurate and consistent with project requirements. Collaborate with management, engineers and other stakeholders to incorporate design changes and ensure the models reflect the design intent. Will at times work with project manager Train others in processes and procedures as required. Maintain the confidentiality of Knight Enterprises Management, LLC designs, data procedures and processes. Produce drawings at scale to assist in building layout and functionality. Additional duties as assigned by management.
