Job Description Summary The Energy Investment Banking team is seeking an Associate to support the execution of merger and acquisition, capital markets, and strategic advisory assignments for clients across the energy sector. Associates work closely with senior bankers and clients, playing a key role in transaction execution while developing strong financial, analytical, and sector expertise. This position offers meaningful responsibility, exposure to senior decision-makers, and opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative team environment. Job Description Responsibilities Support transaction execution across M&A, equity, and debt advisory assignments from initial analysis through closing Develop and review financial models, including operating models, valuation analyses (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions), and transaction-related analyses Prepare high-quality client materials, including pitch books, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, and board-level materials Perform company-specific, industry, and market research across energy subsectors such as upstream, midstream, power, renewables, and energy services Coordinate and manage transaction processes, including due diligence activities and interaction with clients, investors, legal counsel, accountants, and other advisors Review and oversee analysts' work product, providing guidance, feedback, and quality control Assist senior bankers with business development efforts and ongoing client relationship management Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field; energy sector experience preferred Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant financial databases Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Strong written and verbal communication skills High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to teamwork Preferred Experience Prior experience in energy investment banking, energy-focused private equity, commercial or investment banking, or corporate development Familiarity with energy-specific financial and operating metrics Experience supporting M&A transactions Our Culture Raymond James offers a client-first culture that values integrity, collaboration, and long-term relationships.
