HVAC Service Technician II

Snapshot / Role Overview We're seeking an HVAC Service Technician II in the New Orleans Metro area to maintain and repair commercial HVAC equipment across diverse facilities. Impact • Keep critical facilities operational through reliable equipment service • Extend equipment lifespan with quality preventive maintenance • Build customer loyalty through professional service delivery • Support energy efficiency goals with system optimization Responsibilities • Service and repair commercial HVAC equipment including RTUs, chillers, and boilers • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical systems • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system failures • Replace components including motors, compressors, and controls • Test system performance and adjust for optimal operation • Document service activities in computerized maintenance management system • Communicate equipment status and recommendations to customers • Respond to service calls and provide technical support Requirements Must-Haves • 4+ years of commercial HVAC service experience • EPA Universal Certification • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities • Valid driver's license with clean driving record • Customer service skills and professional demeanor Nice-to-Haves • Experience with building automation systems • Manufacturer certifications from major equipment brands • Boiler or refrigeration licenses • OSHA 10 or 30 certification Compensation & Logistics Competitive salary depending on experience; benefits include health insurance, dental and vision coverage, company vehicle, tool allowance, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and paid holidays.
