Sales estimator (metal stamping)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sales Estimator to join our team! In this exempt-level role , you will be the key link between our customers' designs and our production floor, ensuring we deliver the most cost-effective manufacturing solutions in the industry. The Role: Technical Quoting: Review customer prints to determine the best manufacturing methods and provide professional cost information. Drive Growth: Increase sales volume through successful quotes and improve margins by re-quoting existing parts. Customer Care: Act as a problem-solver and primary contact for order tracking and service. Team Collaboration: Work under minimal supervision in a fast-paced office environment, occasionally visiting the shop floor to stay close to the process. What You'll Need: Industry Experience: A required background in Metal Stamping and professional sales experience. Technical Mindset: Ability to read prints accurately; a degree in Engineering or Business is a plus. Soft Skills: An assertive, customer-oriented attitude with excellent time management skills. Customer Advocacy: Act as a primary point of contact for problem-solving, order tracking, and general customer service. Operational Support: Collaborate with the office team to ensure a smooth workflow, handling general office duties as needed to support the division's goals. Margin Optimization: Proactively re-quote existing customer parts to identify opportunities for margin improvement. What You Bring Experience: A solid background in Metal Stamping is required. Professional History: Proven experience in Sales (non-telemarketing) is required; prior Customer Service experience is highly preferred.
