Job Title: Manufacturing Technician Filling 1st ShiftJob DescriptionThe Manufacturing Technician assists with all aspects of production and quality control testing of raw and process materials for our Transplant Diagnostics business.Responsibilities Ensure quality assay manufacturing by following standard procedures for dispensing biological reagents, reagent and buffer preparation, printing labels, and labeling bottles, vials, and boxes. Package, seal, and scan assays. Perform production tasks on different product lines as needed. Responsible for the safe and secure storage and monitoring of inventories, products, as well as in-house supplies. Set up and operate equipment of moderate complexity. Update raw material inventories. Assist in processing of final products. Prepare buffer solutions and assist in keeping a safe environment. Assist in developing, writing, and instituting necessary protocols. Solve problems that may arise in the department. Efficiently handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Assist the supervisor in all aspects of manufacturing processes. Maintain confidentiality of laboratory data and processes. Expected to maintain work schedules as assigned. Essential Skills Experience in manufacturing, GMP, and production. Ability to perform staging and production support. Proficiency in inventory management. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or related field. Two years of laboratory experience. Knowledge of laboratory procedures and practices. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to organize self and maintain assigned work schedules. Competence in reading, understanding, and implementing written laboratory procedures. Ability to handle and work with biological and chemical reagents. Additional Skills & Qualifications Willingness to train individuals with minimal relevant experience or a science AS or BS degree. Ability to lift laboratory instrumentation up to 35 pounds. Work EnvironmentWork is performed in a laboratory/cleanroom environment. Frequent work at laboratory workstations, low temperature freezers, and computer workstations is required. The position involves working on the 1st shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of FREDERICK, MD.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.17 - $19.17/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
