We’re looking for someone who takes pride in clean, compliant work, communicates professionally, and thrives in an autonomous, accountability-driven environment.This is not a trainee role. You’ll be trusted to do things right, escalate when appropriate, and represent SI with professionalism. Leadership pathways (Crew Lead, Trainer) are available for techs who deliver quality and reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently install, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair fire alarm, sprinkler monitoring, CO/gas detection, access control, and surveillance systemsComplete quarterly, annual, and 5-year inspectionsDiagnose and correct system deficiencies with minimal directionInterpret risers, schematics, and construction drawingsCommission devices and operate test equipmentSubmit real-time digital documentation (photos, materials, notes, updates)Maintain clear communication with dispatch, leadership, and customersMeet NFPA, AHJ, and SI quality and compliance standardsParticipate in on-call rotationMentor techs and support training as neededMaintain a clean, organized vehicle and follow all PPE/safety protocolsQualifications7+ years Fire Alarm / Life Safety experienceStrong troubleshooting ability is requiredBlue Card required; NICET II preferred — experience equivalent acceptedValid driver’s license with clean DMV recordStrong communication and customer-facing professionalismAbility to work flexible hours as neededPhysical RequirementsLift up to 75 lbsWork overhead, at heights, and in confined spacesTolerate seasonal outdoor conditionsCompensation & Benefits$40–$50/hr depending on experience & certificationsMedical, dental, vision (1st of the month after hire)401(k)PTO + Paid HolidaysCompany truck + gas card (take-home eligible)NICET reimbursement + ongoing training supportMonthly performance incentivesOptional flexible scheduleLeadership advancement opportunitiesHiring IncentivesSigning bonus availableTool allowance availableNICET exam supportReferral bonus programRelocation assistance optional (can be “case-by-case” if you prefer)
