About the Position Altus Power is seeking a detailoriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist to support our rapidly growing construction, maintenance, and procurement activity. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, contract payments, and procurement documentation across our solar project portfolio. The Accounts Payable Specialist will work closely with the Construction, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Procurement, and Accounting teams to ensure proper coding, approval workflows, and alignment with project budgets. This role reports to the Accounts Payable Manager. Responsibilities Invoice Processing & Vendor Management Process highvolume AP invoices related to construction, electrical contractors, EPCs, materials, equipment, and site maintenance. Validate threeway matching (PO, receipt, invoice) for all procurementrelated transactions. Review vendor contracts, change orders, project milestones, and lien waivers to ensure proper payment. Ensure proper GL coding and job coding for all construction and O&M invoices. Monitor AP inbox and resolve vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Construction & Maintenance Support Work closely with Project Managers and O&M Leads to confirm project spend aligns with approved budgets. Track construction draws, retention/holdbacks, and milestonebased payments. Maintain documentation related to certificates of insurance, W9s, and vendor compliance requirements. Support monthly close by preparing AP accruals related to construction and maintenance activities. Procurement & Operational Coordination Coordinate with Procurement to ensure POs are properly created, approved, and updated. Verify receipts of goods/services and collaborate on resolving discrepancies. Maintain vendor master data and assist with onboarding new suppliers. Internal Controls & Compliance Follow internal AP policies and contribute to ongoing process improvements. Support external audit requests by providing AP schedules and supporting documentation. Assist in enhancing automation within the AP workflow. Requirements 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience (construction or fieldservice environment preferred). Experience with threeway match, POs, vendor portals, and invoice workflows. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage high invoice volume and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills and ability to work crossfunctionally Experience with ERP/AP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Tipalti, or similar) is a plus.
