Location: Nashville, TN (On-Site / Field-Based) Schedule: Full-Time | 24/7 On-Call Rotation | 30–40% Overnight Travel Pay Rate: $21.00–$25.00/hour Employment Type: Hourly Overview OWL Services is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support customers by installing, maintaining, and repairing electro-mechanical equipment in the field. Technicians serve as the face of the company, ensuring client systems such as POS equipment, security devices, and related hardware operate efficiently and reliably. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and replace electro-mechanical devices including cash registers, coin changers, security equipment, alarms, and POS systems Diagnose technical issues and provide effective, timely solutions Complete service requests and maintenance tasks professionally and efficiently Review work orders, manuals, and technical drawings to ensure accurate repairs Utilize testing devices, hand tools, and power tools as required Adhere strictly to all company and customer safety protocols Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation with other local technicians Travel 30–40% overnight, including temporary assignments in other regions for installations or upgrades Maintain accurate documentation using company systems and mobile technology Requirements Must Have Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required Ability to work independently and be a strong problem-solver Strong attention to safety and willingness to follow all safety protocols Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation with other technicians in your area Ability to travel up to 30–40% overnight Good driving record required Ability to use a computer and smartphone proficiently Nice to Have Experience with various POS systems (Verifone/NCR) Experience with alarm systems Experience troubleshooting, inspecting, replacing, and repairing electro-mechanical devices such as cash registers, coin changers, security equipment, alarms, and POS equipment Experience completing service requests and maintenance repair items in a timely and professional manner Ability to review work orders, manuals, and drawings to properly perform maintenance and service Experience utilizing testing devices and multiple hand and power tools related to the job Willingness to be temporarily assigned to other geographical areas to support new installations and upgrades Benefits Paid Time Off 401(k) Retirement Plan Health Care Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Overtime Pay On-the-Job Training Per Diems Growth Opportunities
